Quattro Restaurant: Upscale Italian in Whistler Village
We are now in the ski/snowboard season and with that I have future reviews planned for places to eat in Whistler 🏂. My husband and I usually go up a few times a year and we feel like we are quite familiar with the food options in the village.
We visited Quattro Restaurant previously with 2 friends for dinner back in 2023. Sorry for the late review 😭! Quattro is a fancy Italian restaurant with a very extensive wine list and they are located inside the Pinnacle Hotel Whistler.

The vibe
The entrance of Quattro had really nice wall art and it made us feel like we were certainly walking into an upscale establishment.
Inside, the dining room is quite spacious and we were seated comfortably in plush seats with a white tablecloth dining table. Lighting is dim and romantic and had good ambiance. The walls were filled with bottles of wine!
Food review
We ordered all dishes to share between 4 adults. Prices are in CAD and rounded to the nearest dollar for simplicity and these are prices from their 2023 menu.
Calamari Mandorle ($23)
We ordered this calamari from the antipasti section of the menu. This appetizer features charred humbolt squid on a bed of nduja pomodoro (tomato-based meat sauce) and marcona almonds.
Apologies for the blurry photo 💀. Sometimes when I am dining with friends I don’t want to be a nuisance and try to take my content quickly and this is the result.
I don’t know why I expected calamari to be more so deep fried, but it being charred was also nice. The tomato sauce did pair well with the squid but I think I still prefer my calamari deep fried.
Linguine pescatore ($38)
This pasta features seasonal seafood and we got mussels, scallops and shrimp (mostly shellfish) and tomato. It tasted light and the seafood was fresh.
Fusilla tartufati ($35)
This is a vegetarian pasta and the star of this dish are the local wild mushrooms and the truffle cream. There’s also a big of sage and pecorino in this pasta, but mostly the flavours really come out with the combination of truffle and mushrooms. This pasta is a flavour bomb of truffle!
My friend really liked this pasta and said he would return for this pasta. Although my first bite was amazing, I did find this pasta to be a bit overwhelming as I continued to eat more of it – definitely a heavier dish despite being vegetarian.
Tagliatelle bolognese ($36)
This is another Italian classic and we quite enjoyed this dish – the bolognese (meat sauce) tagliatelle. The bolognese is braised for 8 hrs with quite a bit of parmigiano sprinkled on top. A nice hearty and meaty pasta dish!
Agnello alla Romana ($57)
Our first main for sharing was the roasted rack of lamb. It also had fregola, smoked goat ricotta and olive gremolata.
I am not a big fan of lamb so even though this dish was executed and cooked well, I still don’t love it 😣.
Salmone alla Griglia ($56)
I love seafood and usually do prefer fish over red meats so I was pretty excited to try this main dish because it uses king salmon! You get a hefty salmon steak on a bed of risotto, cavalo nero (kale), salmoriglio and lobster succo.
I really liked the king salmon – moist and flaky and it paired well with the kale vegetables underneath. The risotto had an interesting flavour because there is this umami lobster flavour from the succo/cream sauce, but also there’s this lemon/sourness that comes from the salmoriglio. Overall, I think it could have had less of the lemon/sourness.
Final thoughts
Loewe’s rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
We had a very nice dinner at Quattro and we were very full from our 3 pastas and mains!
My favourite dishes of the night were the 3 pastas with my favourite being the seafood linguine. And of course, I preferred the salmon main over the lamb.
Prices are on the pricier end but we are in Whistler village and this is more of a fine-dining establishment. I would say prices are pretty standard compared to some other competitors like Araxi or Ill Caminetto (although I admit I still like both of these restaurants more). Service was excellent with no complaints.
Sincerely, Loewe
