Lift Bar Grill View: Pacific northwest rooftop in Vancouver

Lift Bar Grill is a sleek restaurant located in Coal Harbour/downtown Vancouver serving west coast cuisine. They are situated on the water and have a really cool rooftop patio with views of Stanley Park and coastal mountain views. We came here for a friend’s birthday dinner. This review is based on an in-dining experience.

Rooftop patio

Our table of 5 were seated on the rooftop deck, which is really nice! We got great views and lovely weather.

They also have indoor dining if you prefer to be inside or if the weather is not looking good.

There is also complimentary parking at a nearby parkade (Westpark), you just need to park in stalls 66-88.

Food

ยฝ dozen oysters on the half shell ($3 each)

Because of the recent heat wave in Vancouver, all of the oysters on the west coast are inedible. Therefore, the oysters we ordered were from the east coast.

My friend ordered this appetizer and I didn’t have one so I don’t have much to say on the taste, but wanted to provide a photo anyways.

Mussels and/or manila clams ($28)

You get a choice of white wine garlic cream or tomato chorizo. My friend chose tomato chorizo mussels and it came with a side of fries. The tomato chorizo broth was really yummy! Also the portion is quite large (she ordered it as a main) but it is $28.

Burrata ($20)

You guys know I’ve been really into burrata recently. This burrata salad comes with porto figs, heirloom tomatoes, walnuts, mint and one slice of garlic toast. The burrata portion was a little small in my opinion, but the pairing of it with the porto figs was unique and tasty! It made the burrata taste even sweeter than normal.

Salmon ($38)

The birthday girl ordered the salmon and she liked it. The entree came with mashed potato, seasonal vegetables and apple cider bacon beurre blanc.

Halibut ($42)

I ordered the halibut, which is available after 5pm. The halibut dishes changes everyday as there is a daily “feature flavour”. On the day that I went, mine came with fingerling potatoes, seasonal veggies, pickled radish. Unfortunately, I couldn’t remember what they actually cooked the halibut with (lol). I thought the entree was not bad but I found certain parts of the halibut a little dry.

Final thoughts

Loewe’s rating: โญโญโญ

We had a really nice birthday dinner at the Lift Bar Grill. Their menu has a lot of food options to choose from and a lot of vegetarian options as well. My only side note is that their seafood platter ($36) does not come in a tower form so if you were expecting a 2-tier seafood tower for Instagram, I wouldn’t order it (the menu also says it is a platter, not a tower).

Prices are a bit on the steeper side but you are paying for the location and the views. I would recommend to come during the summer or on nice days in order to take advantage of the rooftop patio.

Sincerely, Loewe
